Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom are calling it quits. The soap opera stars have announced their decision to end their marriage after taking “some time apart.”

The former couple and As the World Turns co-stars shared the news in a joint post on Instagram

“Cady and Jon here. We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status,” the statement began. “It may be obvious to some based on our posts that we’ve taken some time apart. After serious consideration we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage. We remain friends and wish each other every happiness. As people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter.”

McClain, 54, and Lindstrom, 66, were married for 10 years, having tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2014.

The duo portrayed Rosanna Cabot and Craig Montgomery on the CBS daytime drama.

McClain is also known for her Emmy-winning roles on All My Children and Days of Our Lives, with additional credits including The Young and the Restless and, most recently, the podcast series Around the Sun

Lindstrom, a four-time Emmy nominee, has also starred in Port Charles, General Hospital, True Detective and Santa Barbara. Earlier this year, Lindstrom released a best-selling crime fiction novel thriller Hollywood Hustle.

In recent weeks, McClain has been documenting her ongoing projects in New York City on social media. Lindstrom has been busy promoting his debut novel and, back in December, hit the red carpet solo at the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
