A meditation pod has been planted in the middle of a forest on Rouen, France. Le Monde dans un Gland looks like a gigantic acorn in its early stage of germination. This unique installation looks like an acorn has fallen from a nearby oak, the shell has fractures before that radical emerges, offering a nice entrance for visitors to explore and embrace what’s inside, an awakening tree. It is a playful installation, a presence of a pod that blends with its nature setting, shaped purely from interlocking layers of plywood.
Le Monde dans un Gland Meditation Pod reveals a cozy and minimalist interior. Once you step inside, this pod reveals a spacious area with sunlight that seeps through those tiles. Similar to those Gothic architectures of Northern France where many of those buildings gently diffuse natural light to create a serene atmosphere. It’s an installation by LFZ Studio that invites curiosity to step inside and hopefully foster a deep appreciation for the cultural heritage as well as the wonders of nature.
