Selfridges is making its secondhand accessories service, cleverly dubbed ‘Reselfridges’, available as a permanent offering in all of its stores as a part of a seamless shopping experience that champions circular fashion.

Reselfridges, Selfridges’ ecosystem of circular products and services is now a key component of its offering, with permanent destinations in all four stores.

This initiative aims to make circulae shopping easier than ever by bringing the most sought-after accessories, such as vintage Dior Saddle bags, and rare archive pieces, such as the original AW96 runway McQueen Dante Mask, to Selfridges shoppers across the UK.

At Selfridges’ flagship in London, Reselfridges is positioned at the heart of the Accessories Hall, three times bigger than before (1,000 sq ft).

The opening will be followed by the unveiling of a new permanent 3000 sqft circular fashion destination on floor 3, bringing together SOJO repair, HURR rental, Vintage Threads and We Are Cow in one space.

The retailer is continuing its long-term partnership with Byronesque, experts in sourcing collectors pieces. Each month, Byronesque will present an item rich in fashion history. In addition,OOTO (Out of the Ordinary) brings its perspective on the most important luxury archival vintage accessories. Vintage luxury jewellery is chosen by expert curators Susan Caplan and Jennifer Gibson.

Not only does this project promote second hand shopping, it also offers repair, resale and customisation services to customers. The Handbag Clinic is now a permanent concession, offering repair and restoration of leather goods including handbags, luggage, trainers and clothing and will purchase handbags in exchange for Selfridges gift vouchers.

Boyarde sits alongside The Handbag Clinic, applying bespoke artwork to small leather goods – whether they have been purchased in store or not.
