Is it possible that a helmet can reduce accidents between pedestrians and bike riders? Wink Helmet believes that by indicating its direction to pedestrians or drivers behind them, can help avoid unwanted accidents. We know that helmets have become an essential safety gear for cyclists and other personal mobility, it can be designed with LEDs on the back to indicate user’s direction to other drivers/pedestrians behind them. To activate this LED indicator, simply moving your head. Featuring sporty design, this helmet is made with lines that emphasize the back of the helmet and good air circulation in mind. The result is a head protection that provides both safety and style.
Designed by Wootae Kim, Wink Helmet provides not only safety for cyclist but also style. As personal mobility market grows, accidents also increase, leading to a growing negative image of personal mobility. This helmet is a concept project designed to reduce accidents by alerting other vehicles of cyclist’s direction, hence, the back area is designed to be large enough for good visibility. The charging part is hidden at the bottom, making the exterior looks neat, the charging LED is connected along the rear LED line. There’s protruding shape at the bottom of the LED, it helps prevent light from shining directly into user’s eyes.
