This vehicle is like a preview for future generations of Hyundai Motor vehicles which will be unveiled in the first half of next year. INITIUM FCEV is a concept that encapsulates Hyundai’s 27 years of hydrogen technology development, it also reflects the company’s commitment to achieve a sustainable hydrogen society.
“Art of Steel” is the new design language of Hyundai when it comes to fuel cell powered SUV concept. It embodies the character of HTWO, a dedicated hydrogen value chain business brand which was launched earlier this year at CES 2024. The iconic design of INITIUM integrates HTWO symbol, that “+” inspired graphic has become INITIUM’s lighting signature that blends really well with its bumper for specific design cue marked by unique lighting and refined elegance.
To make sure Hyundai INITIUM FCEV Concept integrates with city living, Hyundai brings SUV-like aesthetic with outdoor adventure capability. It features bold lines, solid structure, of course with balanced sturdiness and sophistication. This concept comes with 21-inch wheels that would complement the overall design, that rugged roof rack adds practicality for those who enjoy outdoor lifestyles.
Impressive driving range is a must, INITIUM FCEV concept promises large hydrogen fuel tanks that would maximize its range. It targets a driving range of more than 650km between refuelling, pretty amazing, heh?. Excellent acceleration with smooth overtaking capability, Hyundai promises its fuell-cell technology will increase the output of the stack and provide enhanced battery capacity, delivering an electric motor output of up to 150 kW. The interior space is versatile, making it suitable for a family SUV, a spacious second row passengers with seat backs capable of large reclining angle for optimum comfort. Getting in and out of the car is easy thanks to wide body and large rear-door opening.
Keeping safety in mind, Hyundai INITIUM FCEV concept is reinforced with a multi-skeleton structure both at the front and a side body structure, it incorporates nine airbags to make sure optimum collision safety performance.
